Travelling To Turkey Sun Holidays, Altinkum, Turkey

Getting There

It is very easy to get to Altinkum with many tour operators flying to Bodrum Milas airport which is about a 75 minute drive away. Bodrum Milas airport is a new airport and specialises in holiday flights so you may be surprised at the multitude of flights from May through to the end of October. Direct flights are offered from many British regional airports including Newcastle, Glasgow, Bristol, Birmingham and Belfast. Bodrum Milas airport is very easy to find your way around as it is relatively small with modern facilities. There is also the added advantage that almost all signs and announcements are repeated in English.

An alternative airport to Bodrum Milas can be found at Izmir which is around 120 minutes drive and has the benefits of a wider choice of flights throughout the year.

On Arrival - We Can Meet You

After arrival you have the choice of arranging your own transport to the apartment or we can collect you. Our local English speaking representatives can meet you and your party and help with your baggage and then provide transport direct to your apartment. Our local representatives can provide friendly impartial advice about the local resort and can be a useful introduction to Altinkum enabling you to save valuable holiday time. Full details of this service are provided on the Prices & Contacts page.

If you decide to make your own way to Altinkum there are a number of car hire firms at the airport to choose from or you can hire a taxi which will charge around £90 for the one way trip. Although the standard of local taxi driving in Turkey has improved over recent times please bear in mind that it is worth keeping an eye on the standards of a few drivers!

Car Hire

There are many car hire firms in Altinkum but it is best to stick with the more well known firms. You will need your full driving licence and passport when making a booking and it is always best to book at least a couple of days in advance. It is also important to check the car over when you take delivery; locally not only does some minor damage go un-noticed but also some maintenance as well.
